Feed info and rules

The feed displays posts from users on the contributor list that include one or more of these hashtags: #landscape, #wildlife, #seascape, #astro, #nature, and some other related tags.

Feed rules are as follows (users who violate the rules will be removed from the list):

• Be kind to others
• Keep posts relevant
• Photos only
• Photos must be your own
• No generative AI or NFTs
• Please use alt text
• Hashtags must match the photo shared
• Please add ALT text to photos

How to be a contributor

Only posts from those on the curated contributor list (Top-Notch Nature Photographers) will be shared to the feed. Contributors are added only if they meet the feed creator's criteria for inclusion.

If you feel your work is appropriate for this feed, comment on the pinned feed post. Admission is not guaranteed.

• Please do not @ the feed creator in this post unless 1 week has passed without a response.

Once added, to post to the feed simply post to your profile as usual, but include one or more of the hashtags: #landscape, #wildlife, #seascape, #astro, #nature, #landscapephotography, #wildlifephotography or #naturephotography.

Qualifications for addition

The list owner looks for accounts that regularly share their own nature photos which display a consistent high-end image quality, including, but not limited to, the following areas:

• Composition
• Exposure
• Subject focus
• Camera focus/detail
• Intentional depth-of-field
• Color rendering
• Creative techniques

What if my post isn't showing up?

If you're new to the contributor list, it can take up to 24 hours for your posts to begin showing up.

If you're an existing contributor and don't see a post with the appropriate hashtags, message @nickchillphoto.com. It's possible to manually add a missing post.

FAQs

Do I need to be an expert or professional photographer? NO. While this is a curated list of high quality photography, it is not necessary to be an expert or professional.

Is art allowed? NO. Photography only.

Can I promote my ko-fi, book, commissions link, website, etc. in the feed? YES. As long as a high quality photo contribution is included in the post. Just please do not spam the feed.

Do I have to post frequently? NO. There is no rule that contributors must post a certain number of times to stay as contributors.
