Blocking users

You can set your feed up to automatically block specific users from appearing in your feed.

  • For public feeds: Blocking a user will prevent their posts from appearing in your feed, even if they would normally match your feed’s terms.

  • For restricted feeds: Blocking a user will prevent them from appearing in the feed, regardless of whether they are on your allowed users list.

You can block users in your feed in two ways, either via a public list in Bluesky or by manually adding them one by one.

If you are on a paid plan, you are able to sync any Bluesky list in to your BSFC account. Once synced, a list can be used in multiple ways, one of which is blocking users in your feed. From your feed dashboard, click either Manage blocked users for this feed or Manage blocked users for all feeds and then Add block list:

Once added, you will see the list under “Blocked Lists”, where you can then manage what happens when posts are made by people on those lists:

If you are on a free plan, you are only able to block users one at a time. From your feed dashboard, click Manage blocked users and lists and then Block a user:

Once added, you will see the user under “Blocked Posters”, where you can then unlock them if you wish.

All users on either free or paid plans are able to import a block list comprising of the accounts you have blocked within Bluesky.

Click Manage blocked users for all feeds and then Import block list from Bluesky:
